I know this is a little late, but here are some pictures from the local paper the Advertiser that were taken of us at Merrylands for the Australia Day this year. It was for the Australia Day Billy Cart Derby, which is going to be run each year now. Bob and his bother Allan have been putting together a pirate ship billy cart made out of items that they find on the site of the road.
The event was for charity and they contacted the organisers to see if they wanted to the ship to come along and help get money on the day.
Jessie and Sophie both enjoyed by pushed around in it for most of the morning.

Looks like fun and the kids do look like they enjoyed it. Wish I could have been there to see it too. Did you manage to raise any money? What place did you come in, 1st 2nd 3rd….? It would have been good way to celebrate Australia Day.

Money was in a tin on the cart so not sure how much there was in the end.
Jessie was having a great day and didn’t want to come home.
