Andrew and Karla's Place

Find out what has been happening with us

How to tell when Jessie likes something.

Jessie had her first experince of home made jelly this afternoon.

When Karla was feeding it to her she of course told her that this thing was called jelly and a few seconds later after the second mouthful it was “Jelly, Jelly!!!”.

This was especially true when Karla or I were slow in delivery of this new tastie treat.

Jessie has become a lot more fussy with her eating habits now and most of the food either ends up on the kitchen floor, down the side of the chair or in Jessie’s hair. There must be some making it inside as she is still able to fill a good nappy. She does quite happily eat all of the day care food, which is a good thing otherwise she might not eat much at all.

Of to swimming again tomorrow…

Jessie's Halloween Disco night

Jessie’s day care centre had a disco fund raiser about a week ago, with a Halloween theme. Karla made Jessie an outfit that was a halloween pumpkin. Poor Karla made it the night before in the late hours after coming home from her course in the city.

I think she looks pretty good in it.

Tom came along with his parents Samantha and Cameron as they wont let him drive yet, which is fair enough.

I’ve uploaded several pictures in to the Gallery and you can get to these by clicking on the picture of Karla and Jessie above.

Guess who I look like?

The picture on the left is of Karla at around 12 months old, the one on the right is of Jessie at around the same age.

Now I think she really looks like Karla wouldn’t you agree. Laughing Out Loud

Jessie's first forward facing ride in the car.

We had Jessie’s car set turned around today, with her being 14 months now. She found the new mode of transport much to her liking. She was laughing. calling out and generally having a good time in the back.

For some reason it was immensly funny every time I turned round to look at her, it was funny to see her looking out the window at what was going by.

Feet kicking and shoe sucking also seemed very popular on her trip home from day care.

Jessie's first walk this morning

Jessie took her first 4 steps to me this morning in the lounge room. She was crying as I had put her down so I could get her things for day care. So I told her to come here then and she took 4 wobbly steps and grabbed my legs.
