Andrew and Karla's Place

What a week, half woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday morning and no need to jump out of bed at 6 to start the day. This little dream didn’t last long though.

We’ve had Jessie and Sophie sick this week, both Jessie and Sophie were home on Wednesday and on Thursday Jessie was home, so Karla and I did half days with Jessie getting a train ride in to the city to see her Mum’s building and then a ride back home with Dad.

She was so tired that she only wanted to go to sleep in the back of the car and didn’t want her lunch until waking up after a 3 hour sleep.

She really enjoyed the train both in and out and looked very cute in her black coat and beanie.

Later on we went to collect Sophie from day care and Karla got home later after working back trying to get some order in to her work.

Not sure what is planned for this weekend so far, Saturday is freeish I think, Sunday will have swimming if everyone is well enough and Monday who knows.

We wish you all the best over Easter and hope everyone has a great and safe Easter break.

Yes the break is over for me anyway, not that Christmas was any real sort of rest for any of us.

The girls all enjoyed their presents, Jessie is claiming most of Sophie’s presents as well, but Sophie does a good job of grabbing dolls and toys back when she gets in to range.

We do need another house or build an extension on top just to house all of the kid stuff, it just doesn’t get any less of course.

We had the joy of the main kitchen tap springing a leak on Christmas eve at 11:45pm on the hot water hose, finally got that fixed properly on Sunday as no where was open Christmas day or Boxing day. So Sunday was the first chance I had to try and locate a replacement hose. Took a trip to three different places, in the end one of the places gave me a replacement hose for nothing, must have been Jessie’s tap dancing and finish?

Also managed to replace the temp folding table in the lounge room that was being used for the computer desk with the one we grabbed off of ebay a few weeks ago. That took most of Monday to do, so much stuff to connect and disconnect. I did this while Karla took Jessie to see the new Chipmunk movie at Parramatta, while I stayed home with Sophie. Jessie was not as good as she could have been, so it was not an enjoyable time for Karla.

If your off on holidays, We hope you have a great time, just be safe too many accidents on the roads this time of year. If your working like me, I hope your time is quiet and not too stressful.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Yes another one is here for us all to enjoy.

Not sure why our kitchen mixer tap decided at 11:45pm to start spraying water all under our sink. We’ve just finished cleaning and moping things up.

I’m trying to workout which part is the Christmas miricle part, the thing breaking or the fact it happened while we were still up and about. I’d hate to think what the kitchen would have looked like after several hours of water spraying everywhere.

Anyone know any plumbers who love to work over Christmas? So no water in the kitchen until atleast Saturday, I’m sure Bunnings will be open, wont they?

Day 4.

Not much happening today as it is raining so mainly around the unit.

We did go out to the shops to get some new headphones for Jessie to use in the car and grab some lunch and wine for diner.

Day 3. (Sunday)

Another late start to the day more sleep problems.

We finally made it out to the beach in the afternoon as the weather has been crazy hot, but nice blue skies.

We went to the rock pool that is near the appartments and Karla and Jessie went for a walk along the beach to collect shells and stand in the surf, while I stayed with Sophie in the rock pool. The water was really cold….

After that we came back for a swim in the pool and a bathes and showers.

Sophie loved sitting with Karla in the sand and playing in the water, she was very tired at the end of it though.

Jessie had scrambled eggs and toast for diner while we were going to have fish and chips. But when I called to order they had just shut and so had every other place I called as well. I did managed to get some thai food but that is another story.

I didn’t manage to get Karla her bottles of wine though.

The food was pretty.

No Zombie movies tonight.
