Sophie and Jessie both enjoy Disney show on the weekend

We took Jessie and Sophie to the Disney show at the entertainment centre at Darling Harbour on Sunday. We didn’t tell them where we were going other than out. We did think that Jessie might twig to where when both of the girls were wearing their Minnie Mouse outfits and I was wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt.

We even saw one of Jessie’s daycare friends Sarah in the carpark and Sarah was telling Jessie of the great show she had just seen.

The show was good and we had a look around the markets afterwards as well.

I think Sophie wins for the best isle dancer for her efforts during the show.

A fun start to Sunday

Sophie woke up around 6ish with her now usual cry out for one of us, so I went in and hugged her and put her back down. Turned off the bathroom light that Jessie had left on and found her hiding in the lounge room and told her to go back to bed.

Then about 10 minutes later Sophie cryed out again, this time with a very different and distressed cry, so Karla went to see her this time. Kara then called me in to the room as well as Sophie had been sick over herself and the bed. So we cleaned her up and changed her bed sheets, checked her temperature and asked her if she wanted to go back to bed, she said, “Yeah”. So we put her down again.

About 30 minutes later another cry like before and more vomit, so another round of cleaning and this time we brought her in to our bed. She was happy and found poking us amusing. This was until she went to cuddle Karla and spewed again. More cleaning, clothes, sniffy number 3 to the wash.

Jessie had decided that she was not getting the attention she deserved and decided to join in and advise us that breakfast was needed as she was “Starving”. So up we got and I made some porridge, with no milk for Sophie.

We were suppose to go to swiming lessions this morning but that wasn’t happening.

Sophie seemed happy enough but did look tired after breakfast, but both Sophie and Jessie needed a bath, so Jessie first then Sophie after her. Sophie ended up having a cuddle in bed with Karla after her bath and we had been giving her water and hydrolite as well. I had also jumped on the bed for a quick cuddle before putting Sophie back to bed.

After a little while I started carrying Sophie to her bed room and of course another lot of spewing, over me and all over her. This time we both heading in to Karla’s shower, as I was covered and so was Sophie. So a quick shower was in order and more clothes to be washed. (I may or may not have helped the spewage here as I may have squeshed her to much while carrying her to her room.)

Anyway, Karla and Jessie are off at Blocks to buy some dancing stuff and I am here with Sophie, so fare no more vomiting and she has been watching Tangled and now Hi5, which is her favourite music group.

First week of holidays gone.

It all happens to quickly, week one of three is already gone. Karla and I both had Monday and Tuesday together and managed to get out and have a child free lunch yumcha on Tuesday at the Tingha Palace at the Parramatta leagues club on Tuesday. It was nice and quiet and civilized without us having to tell the kids to be good. Wednesday we had the house air conditioning serviced before our warranty runs out in April, the clean and inspection came back all good with no leaks this time.

On Thursday it was getting the car rego done, this wasn’t so great with an $838.00 bill at the end due to a list of items that needed fixing, plus a check on the oil leak on Monday and having that fixed if the leak is to bad. I did go and see a movie at Parramatta in the VMax cinema, it was Battlefield: Los Angeles. It was ok, very good special effects, a bit grusome in some parts and the story so very typical these days. Story was a mish mash of War of the Worlds, Independence Day and various others and you have the story line.

Also had to get my license redone as my wallet loves to eat and split any cards in it’s care. They did replace it for free as it split on the magnetic strip. I also look very much the crime in the photo.

Friday was just somethings around the house and some grocery shopping.

Today, Karla and Jessie are out at Jessie’s dancing classes, Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Miss J loves all three and does nothing but talk about when her next lessons are. Sophie and I have some us time, while Karla and Jessie are out and about.

Tomorrow will be swiming and off around the shops.

Hope everyone is good and taking care of themselves.

On Holidays

Finally managed to get some holidays from work. I’ve been telling my boss that I am going to take two weeks in March and he kepts asking me when. So when I told him he said. “That’s short notice”. Only been mentioning it since before Christmas.

Anyway, Karla is now also working part time in her job, so she is home on Mondays and Tuesday now, so over the next two weeks we are sorting out the house and getting those things done, which are hard to do with the kids under foot.

Then we will be spending 5 nights in resort up the coast with the kids. Should be good, I know we all need a break.

Karla’s found her engagement and wedding rings

Yes after I can’t remember how long, Karla’s rings, watch and earings turned up last night as she used the spare nappy bag that was in the boot of the car.

The lost items were in one of the pockets of the nappy bag and Karla felt them when getting the bag out last night.

The car was one place we never searched for the missing items.

We both have appoligised to Jessie as she never did take them it turns out.
