Hunt for serial ‘breast grabber’

GLENDA KWEK

March 23, 2010 – 12:25PM

Sydney women are being warned to beware of a suspected serial breast grabber.

Police believe the man has indecently assaulted three women in Sydney’s north-west in a fortnight.

The first woman was grabbed by the man on Birmingham Street, Merrylands, about 7.20pm on March 11, police said. She screamed and he ran away.

On March 21, another woman told police she was indecently assaulted at Railway Terrace, Guildford about 5.30pm. The man also ran away when she screamed.

A third woman was assaulted in Guildford Road, Guildford, about 1pm yesterday.

In all three incidents, the man asked the women for directions before grabbing their breasts, Inspector Adam Phillips of Merrylands police said.

The women described the assailant as a thin man of Indian appearance, aged between 25 to 28, of average height, with black, short, unkempt hair, a wispy black beard and a large nose.

Inspector Phillips said the man wore “a polo-style collared shirt with dark-coloured stone-washed pants”.

Police will try to analyse CCTV footage from Guildford railway station, which is near where two of the assaults occurred.

Police want other women who might have been assaulted or anyone with information to phone Merrylands police on 9897 4899 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

More Hacker attacks and email was down

Looks like there have been several attempts again to hack the site over the past several days. None of these have been successful and everything is working as expected. Thanks to the several security plugins I now have installed they weren’t able to get in and cause and damage.

Also I’ve been updating the email server set up that I have been using for the past several months from Courier to Dovecot, mainly because Dovecot hasĀ  managesieves and I have been sick of manually filtering my emails. (managesieves allows for server side mail filter via rules)

This does mean that my last post, which was “Are we all still alive” was not mailed out to people.

I’ve also been selected to the be first user to get and test a new webmail called “Crystal Mail” before it’s release in the next couple of months, it’s based of “Roundcube” but with lots of extra features built in.

So after this has been offically released, I’ll most likely be moving over to this for my web based email.

Are we all still alive

The short answer is yes.

We’ve been busy as most people are these days.

Our bathroom has been mostly finished, I still need to sand and paint the door trim and clean and paint the ceiling. There are also the towel rail and toilet roll holder to go up as well. We are using some suction cup ones to test where the best place for these to go is.

Sophie is doing well, she is saying more words each day and has her sometimes serious and not so serious conversations with those around her. Currently she likes to laugh and chuckle, it’s quite funny when she does it. You can laugh and she will laugh back at you and this can go on for sometime. She has still been going to her swimming lessons and likes the pool, but she’s not so happy in the new bath by herself, thanks to a little Miss Jessica who we think sprayed her in the face a couple of times. She is also pulling herself up on items, not walking yet but most likely not to far from it. Of course her 1st birthday is just around the corner and Karla is busy getting things ready for that.

Miss Jessica is doing anything and everything, I don’t think she is capable of sitting still or being quiet for more than 10 seconds. She fell over last Sunday on her way to swimming lessions and grazed her knees and one of her hands, so now we get constant “Look at my knee” or “Look at my hand”. She is very interested in reading and learning her letters and numbers, she can spell out her name now and I think she knows a few words here and there as well.

Karla is looking for work and has been applying for jobs online and calling agencies and companies when able to, when the girls are in day care or a sleep. She has also doing / almost finished the job placement course that her old work provided when she was made redundant and has found this to be useful in how she presents herself to the various places.

Me busy at work on stuff I can’t tell you about and busy at home with the 3 girls.

We were lucky enough to catch up with Sheelagh last Sunday after swimming as she was down visiting a friend not to far from where we live, it was good to catch up and have a chat. It also gave her a chance to see the two girls now and give Sophie someĀ  hugs.
