Jessie's adventures of the past few days.
Not sure if Jessie would be doing these things if she didn’t have a new sister or not, some how I think she would still have done them.
Two mornings ago she came in to our room to wake me up as she does and she was carrying her pink Easter lolly bag that Denis gave her the other day while at the park. She had managed to find it on the kitchen bench and was happily eating the lollies it contained.
Then the next morning we heard some strage noises in Sophie’s room so I went in there and Jessie was putting the bunny rabbit she had made for Sophie the other day in her cot next to her, while this was a nice thing to do it’s also a SIDS risk. We’ve told Jessie a thousand times to not go in to her sisters room unless one of us is with her.
Later on I went looking for her as I was watching Play School in the lounge room, which was put on for her to watch. She was in the kitchen and had managed to find her little yellow bowl, which contained some little chocolate eggs and another big chocolate egg. She was sitting there on her bean bag on the kitchen floor eating the big egg. Her first words were “My tummy was hungry so I am eating this.”.
Then later on the same day when Vince had come over to visit, she had disappeared for a few mintues so I decided to go and find her. After a search of her room the kitchen and the bathroom, I found her in Karla’s bathroom trying to wash her hands. She had taken some, well all of Karla’s strawberry lip balm and smeared it around her lips and over her hands. I carried her out to show Karla and Vince it was kind of funny, especially as she was trying to remove the evidence in the bathroom.
This morning she did tell me about some water in the kitchen when she came in to wake me up, but she hopped in to bed for some cuddles. After taking her to the bathroom and then to her room to put some daytime clothes on her I saw a huge puddle on the kitchen floor. Obviously the water she had refered to earlier. Again she had climbed up on to the bench and had gotten the spray bottle and emptied the contents on to the kitchen floor.
It looks like we’ll be buying a new gate for her room to stop her from being able to get out in the mornings, we were also thinking of a sensor on her door so when she opens it in the morning it would also alert us in the bed room as well.
We both sort of wonder now what the next Jessie adventure will be.
