Jessie now using her Potty

Jessie, on Saturday last weekend decided now was a good time to start using her potty when going to the toilet. She has been asking for a little while now and we thought that we shouldn’t stop her if this is what she is asking to do.

Karla made up a nice colourful chart for her to place her stickers on to. Well stickers seemed like a good idea for rewarding her using the toilet, one sticker for wees and two stickers for a poo. (There you go I’ve now used poo and wee on the site.)

Now when she wakes up the first words are sticker, Jessie sticker on hand. So the stickers are very popular with the little miss.

Web Site and Gallery updates

Updated the main site software to WP 2.6 last week when it was released and so far everything appears to be going great, with no issues or problems.

Also updated the Galley2 software to release 2.3rc1 last night and finished running the upgrade scripts this morning before leaving for work. Again no major problems once everything had been converted, there was a short time when the front page wasn’t displaying the random image on the site, but that was fixed fairly easily.

On another note, Jessie had her birthday on last Sunday and I will be uploading some pictures from the day and also possibly a video or two once I find my firewire cable again, so I can get the video off the camera.

So keep an eye out for that.

Water found on Mars by the Phoenix mission.

Just saw this story on the SMH about water being found by the latest Martian probe from NASA.

The Phoenix Mars mission has found water in a soil sample after spending the last two months examining the red planet for evidence that it could support life, NASA scientists said.

The spacecraft’s robotic arm has dug several trenches in the Martian soil near the planet’s north pole and been heating soil samples in a series of small “ovens.”

It had earlier spotted chunks outside the rover that scientists had identified as ice, but data sent back by the most recent soil sample for the first time showed water inside Mars’ dirt, researchers said.
