Andrew and Karla's Place

I’ve been home the last coupe of days sick, I’ve had a bug for over a week and finally decided to go to the Doctors as it wasn’t going away.

Our old local Doctors has become a bit of a joke, I started calling them to make an appointment at around 8am (when they open) but didn’t get anyone until after 9am. Then they only had one out of around 4 doctors on and weren’t taking any appointments. The doctor who was on is one that both Karla and I don’t like, but that’s another story.

So I drove back to Granville and went to the Doctors there, I was pleasantly surprised, we’ve taken Jessie there before but I haven’t been for myself. I happened to walk in at the right time only 3 people waiting 3 doctors on and then I look behind me and there is a line up of around 10 people. As I hadn’t been there before I had to fill out a form with details etc., and I could see my card was no longer in place as it was before.

 So I thought great going to be here for hours, but that was not the case after only about 10 ~ 15 minute wait I was seen by a pleasant Doctor. When through the usual stuff, cold / flu and sinus infection. She also took my blood pressure as I am currently taking medication for that and even with the tablets my pressure was up way to high.

So I’ve been home yesterday and today from work, to get better and try and get some rest to help bring my pressure back down. But we all know work is never far away and I spent several hours working yesterday late in to the night and of course I’ve been called a couple of times today and had several emails as well. I also get the pleasure of doing some more work over the weekend as well.

Anyway to the title of this post, Karla sent me some lovely roses this morning, which I have just put in a vase, there were also some nice chocolates and some wine as well.

Jessie’s day care is having a disco tonight to raise money for outdoor equipment, the theme is Halloween so Karla has made Jessie a pumpkin outfit last night. I think Karla is going as some sort of fairy, me well I’m just going as me surely that’s scarey enough.

I’m sure there will be pictures (runs to get camera to charge batteries) to be seen later on, we’ll upload them to the gallery.

So I’m off to have some of that rest I’m suppose to be doing……..

Yeap my main PC is busted once again, went to turn it on the other night and nothing, fired up but no screen. Did the usual turned it off, tried again, put in the recovery CD nothing.

Not sure why the bios chip would have corrupted this time as I did nothing to make it do so. I’ll look at doing an RMA and getting a replacement board, I’m sick of this one it has never been 100% reliable when it comes to the bios chip and I’m tired of pulling it out all of the time and re-programming it.

Jessie woke up this afternoon with another fever the poor thing, she was also very fragile something she’s not normally.

We called one of the medical centres and made an appointment for her.

After seeing one of the most disinterested Doctors I think I have every had the good fortune to come across she told us that Jessie has a middle ear infection.

So off to chemist for another round of drugs.

She already makes it very clear everything in the house is hers and we are just the hired help.

Been really busy at work the last couple of days, with the project and things look like getting much busier now as we move forward,

Both Karla and Jessie are not the best currently, Karla’s been sick now for almost a week and Jessie still seems to have a bad cough every now and then. I really think Karla shouid stay home again today, but I’m sure she wont.

Karla and Jessie went to the McDonalds playground at Merrylands yesterday with the Mothers group and Jessie must have decided yesterday was a good day for just walking around. Karla told me she was walking every where. Last night she was walking all around the lounge room from place to place and not relying on holding on to any furniture. If I was the cats now is the time to start worrying.

Must go now and get ready for work.
